Sustainable Kids Market 2024: A Celebration of Giving and Change
On May 25-26, 2024, Marina Square was abuzz with excitement as the Sustainable Kids Market 2024, presented by Peace of Art, took center stage. This groundbreaking event brought together individuals from across Singapore united in their mission to promote sustainable living and provide support for underprivileged children.
There was more to the Sustainable Kids Market than just a marketplace; it was an event that celebrated harmony and unity. Young entrepreneurs, known as KIDSforKIDS-preneurs, showcased their sustainable creations, led engaging workshops, and donated their art for a charity auction. These young changemakers embodied the spirit of giving, using their talents and creativity to positively impact their less fortunate peers.
The proceeds from the Sustainable Kids Market went directly to aid vulnerable children living in Singapore's public rental flats. Through Young Hearts by Singapore Red Cross, these funds will provide essential education, enrichment, and mentorship programs, helping to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and give these children a chance for a brighter future.
In support of this noble cause, I was honored to donate six of my artworks for auction as part of the charity event. A privilege it was to take part in an event that not only promoted sustainable living, but also made a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children.
