Mural Painting

As an enthusiastic member of Mama on Palette (MOP), Singapore's pioneering community for art-loving mothers founded by Alice, I've had the privilege of participating in two notable mural painting projects that have left a lasting impact on our community.

In Tiong Bahru, a community rich in culture and art that holds a special place in my heart, I contributed as a volunteer artist in collaboration with the lead artist, Esther Peck, a Tiong Bahru native herself. Through this mural painting project, part of the MOP initiative, we aimed to foster intergenerational connections and spread warmth and kindness throughout the community.

Our mural, adorned with an array of flowers and greenery, serves as a symbol of kindness and a reminder of the positive impact art can have on our community. When art is shared and co-created with our neighbors, it can serve to raise awareness, promote kind actions, and strengthen community ties.

Additionally, I've had the opportunity to participate in mural painting projects in Bugis Street, one of Singapore's most iconic locations. We collaborated with organizations such as Mural Lingo to create vibrant and meaningful artworks that capture the dynamic energy and diverse activities that distinguish Bugis Street. Through bold lines, vibrant colors, and geometric shapes, we sought to showcase the street's spirit and pay tribute to its rich cultural tapestry.

I firmly believe in the transformative power of art and am dedicated to using my creative abilities to make a meaningful difference in our neighborhoods. Through mural painting, I aim to inspire, unite, and create lasting connections among the people who call these communities home.
